Speedway

$2,000.00

Early Speedway racing was founded in Europe and dominated by British and European Machines. In the thirties, famed racer Joe Petrali was allowed to use the Harley factory, in the evenings, to create an American Speedway motorcycle. Nine engines were produced and supposedly only two bikes remain.

I was allowed to photograph one of these historic bikes which is in the Barber Museum collection. A piece of American motorcycle history!

The Original Painting is in a private collection in Denver CO. 2016 C
